Introducing the Neurodiverse Leader Accelerator Boot Camp

What makes this different

Leadership development programmes are designed for neurotypical leaders and in neurodiverse work environments. We have designed this bootcamp to cater specifically to Neurodiverse leaders in neurodiverse work environments. Key factors that make this different:

  • Pace – we have designed the structure and pace to be flexible to the needs of the group – time for processing, understanding and debriefing
  • Structure – the content will be delivered through different mediums to ensure effective learning for example video’s, podcasts, voice over slides to get the theory covered so that the workshops are focussed on the participants and how they will apply this.
  • Facilitators and Coaches – Our facilitators and coaches not only have lived experience in leadership and supporting neurodivers leaders some are qualified too.
  • Flexibility – the programme can be customised to address specific challenges and opportunities for impact
  • Toolkits – our tools and toolkits are neurodivers friendly e.g. Lego Serious Play, ClickIt

Why is it important to invest in Neurodiverse leaders?

There is a significant war for talent across the world! As businesses we need to focus on maximising our talent pools in a more inclusive way. This is what we know:

  • 60% of neurodivergent individuals with a diagnosis don’t disclose because of lack of trust in organisations
  • 50% of the  talent acquisition companies have a neurodiversity policy but is often out of touch with the reality of the working environment and do not understand the real issues – the focus is on compliance
  • It is estimated that between 15-20% of UK population is neurodivergent which is about 1 in 7 people
  • Up to 85% of autist adults are unemployed or under employed
  • The strengths of neurodivergent individuals like pattern recognition, creative problem solving, hyper focus and deep expertise, attention to detail, innovative thinking, honesty and direct communication are skills of great leaders but how do we tap into these in an authentic way in a largely neurotypical world?

At Let’s Talk Talent, from our experience with many clients and industries,  we know that everyone has potential and is talented so why should neurodivergent individuals be left behind?

What we know about the realtor of work…

  • Our workplaces are multi generational and diverse
  • The world is becoming more complex and fast paced
  • Most workplaces cater for neurotypical requirements
  • Different does not mean less!
  • Barriers in the environment not the person
  • Small changes can make the biggest difference

By investing in developing our neurodiverse leaders we are tapping into a far bigger talent pool – making the war on talent potentially easier!
