Meet the guest speakers

April Tomlinson

VP HR Business Partnering

April is a passionate HR Professional and has been at LFC for almost 8 years. Currently, as VP, HR Business Partnering, she partners with the Exec Level at the Club and provides strategic and operational HR provision. This includes leading business wide initiatives across workforce design, change programmes. Performance management & leadership development and wellbeing. Prior to her time at LFC April has held HR roles in retail, travel and construction.

Recently April has been central to the Club’s review of current working practices and will be sharing some tips and ideas from her own personal journey she has been on whilst undertaking this piece of work. She will also talk to us about the Club’s roadmap and how the HR team are preparing Managers and colleagues for the next part of the journey as people prepare to return to the office for some of their time.

Richard Flood

Director of Talent, Learning & Engagement

Richard is a seasoned L&D Professional who has been working in L&D for over 15 years. Currently, as Director of Talent, Learning & Engagement, Richard works closely with the HR Business Partnering Team and Senior Stakeholders across the Club to deliver strategic programmes across the Talent, Performance and Engagement agenda. Prior to LFC, Richard has held roles in Telecomms and Retail.

Recently, Richard has been pivotal in developing a long-term Talent & Development strategy at the Club focusing on Induction, Digital Learning, Career Development, Succession Planning and Leadership Development at Exec and Exec-1 level.

Richard will be sharing tips and ideas on how he has approached these key areas throughout the pandemic, and he will also talk to us about how the Club has implemented a more agile performance management process, as well as creating an online career development hub for colleagues to develop their careers in an ever-increasing VUCA world.
